Natural gas: the advantages.
Through the CASEP program of Gaz Métro, for the period from March 20 to June 16, 2017, customers who convert their heating equipment, fuel oil to natural gas, will be entitled to a subsidy:
- of $2000 for heating
- of $250 for water heater conversion
Proof of oil consumption is required. Grants are not available for dual energy heat pumps.
The steps to be taken to validate eligibility
A- Validate if you have access to Gaz Métro distribution network
B- Please contact Gaz Metro at 1 800 875 6202 to confirm your accessibility to their distribution system
C- Meet with an authorized partner (you can require our services) to carefully evaluate your needs
D- When the bid is accepted, Gaz Métro will send an authorized contractor to connect your home to the grid
E-Following the connection, the certified partner Gaz Métro will install your equipment

* The figures come from the 'Position concurrentielle du gaz naturel par paliers de consommation annuelle' report issued by Gaz Métro. Annual invoice amounts are estimates based on the cost and tariff, if any, of each energy source in effect in March 2017, projected costs over twelve months.
